Re: Good News
Is that all? Mine is 6 years oldRince wrote:its 2 year old now and fucked

I might be getting a computer for my 18th (which is in just under 2 weeks time), possibly same price band as rince, although I might be able to push it up to 1k, so what's the best I could get with 1k?

Now obviously this is in Dollars not whatever fucked up currency you brits use This would give you a lot of room to get more stuff like any extra needed cables, maybe a better motherboard (im not sure how good of one i picked, im not good with motherboards), or even get dual sli video cards. And of course this is all if you or someone you know knows how to build computers.

Oh and that's not going to cost much?Soviet wrote:its not hard to do, you just fly over to the us, rent a hotel, get it shipped there, then fly back with the stuff

So far I'm going on the basis that I've got a budget of £1000, which has to buy me EVERYTHING (including monitor, sound system, mouse, keyboard).

why cant you use the monitor/mouse/keyboard you have now?
cause a good monitor will cost you several hundred pounds, and poof, there goes your 7900

You can get a good quality 17" tft for under £100. (or roughly around that area)
A good 2.1 sound system (with sub) for £20 - £30
Mouse (Depends on what you want, up to £25[ish])
Keyboard (Again, depends how fancy, up to £30[ish])
For all 4, I would not exceed £200.
