CoD4 cheats enabled while viewing demo

I've been trying to enter 'cheats' such as '/cg_drawgun 0' while viewing demos in CoD4, however, it says they're cheat protected.

I did what has worked fine in CoD2 for me:
/devmap mapname; disconnect; demo demoname
And then enter any cheat I want and it would work.

It doesn't seem to allow me to do that for CoD4, even though I'm in ModWarfare when I type in the above command/s.

Any ideas of how to get it to work?

I have a feeling it might have something to do with adding things to the shortcut on my desktop, possibly 'seta thereisacow "1337"'.

I just did pretty much what I described above, however, I loaded ModWarfare, typed in '/seta thereisacow 1337' in console, did devmap, disconnected, typed in the cheats (BEFORE LOADING THE DEMO), then loaded the demo and it worked fine.

Yeah it's pretty kickass

I've got a demoplayback cfg that allows me to use my mouse scroll to choose the speed I want the demo to be played in
