Press escape to deselect the brush, or pressing shift and left clicking a selected brush also deselects it. And shift left click to select again.

I would ignore the Terrain Mesh tutorials for now, I personally think they are not needed at a beginner level (I learnt how to do terrain long after learning to actually map).All-Killer wrote:First read some tutorials for the basics and than try to add weapons etc. Tutorials like:
