by the ledge im guessing you mean the one you jump from to the fireplace? if so, then there are two methods.
1. get 125fps (you can see your fps by going to console and typing /cg_drawfps 1 and /com_maxfps 125 to make the max correct. (Check the stickies for further info on how to help your fps). 125fps is a needed fps for certain jumps, this framerate is a glitch in the quake 3 engine causing you to jump slightly higher allowing previously inacsessable places to be available. After you have 125fps simply jump up on the ledge. Higher fps can be achieved simply by looking at the sky or the ground.
2. get on that green chair near the ledge, then simply strafe jump to it

I think he means the jump from that ledge to the fireplace...
In which case, you need to floow Soviet on how to get to the first ledge, and then you need to do a big strafe jump to the fireplace... there is no secret to it... you can also use a nade.

What fps are u getting? ...its actually a pretty small gap, but you just need to be quite precise...i find the easiest way of doing it is by doing a little left sided strafe jump, so u flick the mouse to the left (only a slight flick required) and use the left strafe key, so that u end up pointing at the right side edge of the fireplace.
