I come here today with a lesson. It seems some people are misinformed as to what dubstep truly is. I'm not saying that this is the case on these forums but I have seen it too much in real life and feel the necessity to rant. As happens with any other genre, as it comes into the spotlight of popularity the quality of the genre suffers significantly. It is no different with dubstep.

Some of it is ok, but about 98% of it isn't to my liking. It reminds me of rap, death metal, and country music. I don't like 99% of it, but there's always one or two songs out of every thousand or so that I like.

On a side note, I will listen to and like almost any genre that I haven't listed in this post

lol, my three LEAST favorite genres (except, Deathcore/Metalcore is much worse than death metal).

Death Metal has maybe, one or two exceptions though, in terms of being terrible.

Here is probably the only non-melodeath exception I've yet to see.
