COD4 for xbox has been hacked, by a guy called Cheater912.
Mods like super speed and slow-mo, spreads like a virus. Anyone who joins his game gets the hack, anyone who joins that persons game gets the hack etc.
Some people are saying that a codjumper mod might come to xbox

Either that, or Microsoft will jump on it like a fly to shit and start banning people and cutting the virus off from the population. Much like the plague and the quarantine.

Yup. I don't know how he's doing it, but I doubt the codjumper mod could be ported over.

2 things...
1. It sounds like a 'console' console hack. Which allows access to the ingame console.
2. If 1. was the case how exactly is he getting other people to download it from him?

perhaps by enabling a form of "mod" mode on his server and therefore people are forced to download it, such as on the pc, when they join his server. Just a thought.
If consoles don't have a real 'console' like the pc does, then there would be no need to make commands, such as timescale or noclip, unusable in a real server since there was no way to use them, but if he did find a way to use them, then he could probably spread them to other people by perhaps making a sort of "config_mp" file which automatically enables the commands whenever they join a server. I have no idea how he would do this :s.

You guys forget that a console is just a limited pre-build computer with an XNA build OS.
Anyone that has enough knowledge with XNA can basically turn the xbox360 into anything they want.

Yes, but that doesn't mean the game is unlimited also.
Games are precompiled with different options per game, port or not.

Definitely not. Infact at one stage the PS3 was trying to get its reputation up by saying they were going to allow it, but as usual things like this collapse and disappear.
The thing that stops us from doing it is limitations. They add barriers and remove the PC options (they often do this before releasing for the PC, thus creating poor PC ports).
The compilers and modbuilders have a Console compile option and all the configs have console based functions (for example, level.splitscreen is commonly used).

It might be a hardware mod too, or hey may have edit the game through the hard drive, the only "Hacks" I've seen used on consoles are "Trainers".
