Re: Lighting Help
Make a lighting leak (put a light somewhere outside your map that touches 'infinity') - that way there will be a lighting leak and the whole map will be lit evenly without shadows.oppdelta wrote:Hi.. again

Thats a rather crude thing to do i think peds. You can use the worldspawn editor to modify the worldspawn settings outside of radiant, you can choose from all the stock map settings, so pick a map with lighting that best suits your needs/skybox. List of worldspawn settings you can use to enter manually in radiant: http://www.modsonline.com/Tutorials-read-106.html

Luke had this topic covered from his first post, which meant I just ignored it. After several more posts, I was wondering why it has taken so many replies... now I know.Pedsdude wrote:I know, I know. Do not cause your map to leak. You will not get real lighting, that's just stupid. You will get "overbright" causing all areas of your map to be lit up by a bright white colour which looks stupid. Not only that but a leaked map can cause countless issues.
Use worldspawn values. These will give your map real lighting from a source (the sun!). If you do not know how to do it, learn, it is essential. Only lame mappers avoid the worldspawn values and go for a cheap work around such as Peds'
