Strange height jumps
Hi all again. About half-year ago i create my map gr_upperjump. I'm trying to learn influence FPS to jump at the height. So i found some critical sense :
125 fps - 40 units
77 fps - 39 units
333 fps - 45
This is not full list of values, that i found. But... If i make some interesting movement (strafe ? ) before jump, i can jump more high
77 fps - 40 units demo
125 fps - 41 units demo
333 fps - 46 units demo
Who know about that something ? Why that (bug ?) take place ?

That might be a reason to make those jumps in jm_bigescape. You can't get on it every time with just 125 FPS.
Check out the links Lev posted in that topic. I did those jumps, but I tried them again and I couldn't get on it although my FPS was 125 all time.
No idea why it would let you jump higher though.

Idd. when u turn ur fps to 76 (will appear as 77) you can on occasion jump 40 units. I figured this has to do with 1000/?, in this case 1000/13=76,923. Because its not a whole number, u might need to have a bit of unsteady 77 fps in order to make it work, so it would kinda be like 76,9.
With 125 fps its 1000/8, so maybe when ur pc is good enough, you can get 125 fps extremely steady, making it possible to jump 41 units with it
Same with 333 (1000/3) and 250 (1000/4)i suppose.
These are just thoughts and there is a big chance theyre way off from the actually cause

I did some trying with 500 and 1000 fps.
I noticed that when u stand against a block, u cant even jump 35 units.
But when u take a run up and jump before the block u can jump up to 39 units.
I also noticed that u nearly completely lose aircontrol when u use 500 or 1000 fps, maybe thats y.
