jm_milestone - where is the author?

Post by Luke » October 8th, 2006, 2:22 am

I'd like to convert jm_milestone to cod 2, since it's one of my favourite jump maps, and I have the .map file. I know it was made by Storm, he has an email address in the map which i've tried contacting a few weeks ago, but nothing.
Does anyone know where I can find him? coz i'd like his permission to convert it.

I'm not entirely sure where he is. I'm aware that Rince was in contact with him a while ago (and consequently had the jm_clampdown .map file), but other than that I have no idea. I thought he was active on some mapping community forums, although that was a while ago...

I have the .map file too, although I haven't looked at it and probably never will :P

Well i asked rince and he said Storm said he included the .map with the pk3 to allow anyone to edit it if they wish, and thought he wouldnt mind. Still haven't been able to get hold of him, but i'd assume since he left the .map for that reason he probably wont mind. I've already converted most of it, and if/when i release it i'll give him credit, and just say it was converted by me. If in the unlikely event he isn't happy about that then it will be removed immediately.
Does that sound ok to you?

I'd love to get it finished, but it is proving more difficult than I thought. So much so that i've recently got someone else involved to help with a few aspects of it, mainly design. All i can say is that i'm hoping to release it sometime this year :P
