alpha blending problem..

alpha blending problem..

i made 2 brushes
made them simple terrain mesh
alpha:[ground/a_grass1a]
underground:[ground/dirt_earthbase]
i press Y
selected alpha and flatten
select the patches
hold alt and left mouse
but .. nothing workd...
any idea why?

what did you put your amplitude at?

i find it easyier, wen using blending, not to select the patches, because its hard to see wat u have actually blended wen it like red..

So select the box, i think something like, allow edit on unhighlighted patch, or summin, and then use it, and also make sure ure inner circle isnt bigger than ure outer...

I will try and do a video tutorial once I get the software, I feel a screenshot tutorial will not be sufficient for blending...

I am getting some software now, so either today or 2moro I will try and get it uploaded. (Depends on filesize and finding a host)

Nice..I think this is my main weakness when it comes to mapping, but i can usually understand ur tuts :)

everything is good..
setting is good.. im holding alt and left mouse
so.. why isnt it working?

If the texture your trying to belnd is not an alpha texture, it will not blend at all.

:'( still aint working....
i try'd all textures....
i had the good settings, and textures but still aint working
can it be a filter that it be filterd to see but its actully blending but i just can't see it?

problem solved
o and sam i was right it was filterd ;) i had OpenGL Lighting activiated (under the view menu) found out by my self, tip for people who got same problem: turn off OpenGL Lighting under view menu
