mp_minecraft (question to the community)

As some of you may know, I am currently working on a minecraft jump map for cod4.
If you want to look at some screenshots / videos check out my xfire profile : bloodydeath94

but now to my question:
I am seeing a lot of 333/250/125/333 maps lately and I have to say that I am tiered of them.
So I am looking forward to make mp_minecraft an 125 FPS capped map, like mp_portal was.

Please give me some feedback on this, as I am kinda unsure about that decision :? :)

NOOOOOOOOOOO :(((( i played this map on a server a while ago... must have been a really early version, but it was with 333. 125 maps are way too easy, and plus almost every good / pro jumper now has hacked the wmp.exe to allow 333 when its blocked, so it would not matter if it was locked. 125 maps get old very fast, and are GENERALLY much easier than 333 250 maps... imo i would not do 125 map... it would be a shame :(

And for that .exe bypass, I would say each on his own.

you are correct on that i did play minecraft_cj. my fault. But um.. its just that `125 is so limited in terms of jumps and bounces... it just limits the map so much more imo :|

I think you should make a 125 way and a 250-333 way. Then everyone's happy xD

This, pro jumpers don't tend to result to cheating to complete a map doing this is kind of pathetic. Complete the map the way it was meant to be...

I personally think that it being a 125 only map would be fine, sonic and portal or both 125 and video game themed so it obviously works you just have to work up to the level of Dan :P Also just out of interest how are bounces going to work in a world of blocks if you choose to add them?

Thats an idea. like wireframe, but make it more challenging this time for 2-3 way :P

Also, a problem with wireframe was that because of the portal gun, it replaced the ak xmodel on the server and gave errors many times. Is it possible that if you are using an xmodel, to include it with the map, so that it could be on the server properly?

yep, I made new weaponfiles for the pickaxe and sword.

A few bounces or jumps using 333/250 couldn't hurt, but the majority of the map being 125 is fine in my opinion.

I can't wait for this map. I will surely give this one a try.

125 FPS locked seems ok. Like people have said, Sonic was pretty hard.
