because it takes at least SOME skill to shoot a sniper, rather than wheel scroll fire with an m14 or spray and pray with an automatic, imo.

Because they show just lucky, good looking shots. Nothing to do with skill. In my opinion a good fragmovie contains many frags in a row no matter which weapon u use

Killstreaks with any weapon are nice. Single sniper shots are boring, jumping, hip shots, 1000 miles random shots, all suck.

Jump shots are good. But only if you need to do a jump shot, not for show.

But I agree with Drofder, people show these shots. That's why most frag movies suck.

And snipers need no skill ? Nope, not the ones camping at the back of Wetwork standing still the whole match.

Run and gun snipers with reflex scopes annoy me. I actually enjoy watching spray and pray frags. A good player isn't all about how he shoots, but how he moves around the map without dying. If you can traverse from one side of a map to another, while getting frags, I generally wouldn't care what gun you do it with.

I'd have to disagree with most of what's been said in this thread. People spraying through walls and spamming nades to survive isn't really skill. I do, however, take back what i first said. I do agree that snipers do take more skill to use (if not camping) than an automatic though.

I agree with that except for the 2nd sentence. If i took a saw and spam like a mad man with Jug, steady aim, red dot, and bandolier I'd be considered "god" according to that sentence.

Shooting an automatic weapon is pretty boring compared to shooting a sniper because when I'm running around the map, and a bad guy pops up, I find it awesome how you can pull out an m9 and still get the same effect as an automatic (if you can click fast enough or prefer to use binds) , while having a sniper as your main gun for long range. I find being a sniper superior to any other class because you have short and long range weapons, whilst with an automatic you have a shorter range (unless you like to spam at people who are 1000 meters away). I also, personally, find automatics a LOT easier to use than a sniper. Whenever my fragrate(also known as K/D ratio) drops below a 2, i normally pull out an automatic and RnG + SnP the whole map to bring it up.

Overall, I think that it depends on how you shoot your weapon and what your K/D is, that's about it.

I think you are taking my post and slightly spinning on the words. I do not appreciate simple "run and gun" attitude. You can tell when someone is blind running into people to SnP for kills and you can tell when someone is tactically moving and using ADS or short bursts.

Nades will never be part of a good frag video. A 5 man kill with a nade just basically tells me the other team are morons.
Shooting through walls without random spraying can sometimes looks good, but again, mostly not.

Anyone that I feel is binding to the mouse wheel to shoot is instantly not worth watching.

I hate most frag videos, anyone can record themselves playing for a few hours and get 3 minutes of INCREDIBLE shots. I prefer killstreaks with any weapon, and I love team down clutches.

I remember Atze (Atleast I think) tossing a smoke in Backlot and kill 3 people or so in the smoke after eachother. Single kills are boring, kill streaks are the best.
