CoD Connector Beta v0.1

Post by Drofder2004 » June 3rd, 2005, 7:43 am

CoD Connector - First release!

Details about "CoD Connector Beta v0.1" can be found here.

Well, go to the link and read it, I cant be arsed typing it twice :P

I am very new to programming, and have only looked at it a bit for doing calculations and this is my first working program. :)

It took me a good few hours, but most of that was thinking time :P

Layout is basic, colours are basic (although mine looks a ton better due to my XPStyle :D)

Suggestons/problems/Etc - Catch me on Xfire/Msn/Email

Even if you do not plan on ever using it or even need to use it, it would be kind of you to take a look and post some feedback. :D

I'm gona stop typing now as its nearly 8am and I'm yet to sleep. Oops :P

Its a very small program that is not an installer. Run it and you will see it :P

There is no uninstall as it is the best type of freeware available (no install, just 1 exe).

atm, the look is not what matters, its the working.
I will be redesigning the layout etc.

Also, on my system everything has changed (Xp Style). I will see what I can get screenshots of soon (I will change back to normal xp style).

I have just updated it and you can now change the default directory.

Just put the exe in the cod folder (not main) and run it. then after selecting the game, change the directory at the bottom.

I do plan to put a browse button for all those lazy people but for now, thats what you get :)

Thanks Guys.

I got a few more things to do with the current settings.
I plan on adding a "start own server" settings parts.
Config Editor
Favourite Servers.

I will also look into Rcon suage, but I can't promise that.... yet :P

Any other suggestions, whether they are basic or near impossible, just post away.

CoD Connector First Release!
Check First Post for link.

Code: Select all

This version -
Choose between 2 games (CoD or UO)
Join a Server with Password and/or Rcon Password
Join a Server in windowed mode.
The ability to change the default directory using an Open Dialog box (Before, you had to completly type the address).

Next Release -

Try it out and see what you think :)

[note, I have yet to fix the issue with the IP address and being able to use letters instead of numbers, so that will be a fix for the next release].
