Removing vocals from songs

Is it possible to remove vocals from specific songs with let's say some kind of tool ?

try to find a accapella version or instrumental - look in vinyl online stores for djs

The latest Nightwish album had orchestrals with them but I want some metal songs to remove vocals

The human vocal sounds will fall in the higher frequencies, you can try cutting that out.
Although like what the others said before, you will lose quality, and even some instruments.
