Lazer room speed runs

If this interests anyone, how about seeing who can get the fastest time completing the lazer room section of "Soviet_stronghold"?
Doing it only as a section of the map means you can afford to take bigger risks and make the times faster on individual sections. Also trying to do a record on "Soviet_Stronghold" is depressing without the save mod lol. The lazer room is also the most interesting jump section i've seen, so that is why I chose it.
I also decided to start something like this as there's not much happening in the way of record runs or jumping at the moment.


Rules:
- Server settings must be kept default (eg. you cannot increase speed)
- Do not abuse any cheats
- You must kill yourself with a grenade when you have finished. This will prove you havn't used God mode.
- You must start in the location I will explain next.
- For ease of timing runs, only begin on every whole 10seconds (eg. 19:50, 19:40 etc)

The Course:
You must start in the location shown in these screenshots:

To get to this start position, aim at the join between the door and the wall (shown in Screenshot 1) and press your forward key until you cannot move any further forward. You can turn your mouse to face the right direction but you cannot move you character.

You end your run when you touch the floor after passing the last lazer:

My fastest recorded time so far is 44.5 seconds. I will upload the demo if anyone wants to see it. Only problem with my current run is I didn't kill myself with a nade afterwards, I only thought of that rule later.
If anyone has any suggestions for making the rules better, please say.

Also ignore the poor quality of my screenshots. I set everything to low when i'm jumping on CoD2. I can have 125 without everything on low, but sometimes it drops when i'm jumping.

Sounds like good fun, I loved that section of the map. Will do it when I have time out from my busy revision schedule (done about 5 hours today!).

I almost did the lazerroom in exactly 30seconds.. I died on the last lazer and can't seem to get it again. Ill try again tomorrow

I did it in 41 seconds, but my mom was talking to me... and u could notice my head was in an other place on occasion.

At first I didn't think it could be done faster than 40, but i'm positive I almost did it in 30. I'll make a demo now. Only thing holding me back is the ladders, sometimes they don't let me up

Are you allowed to throw the nade before you do the last jump? In which case you could save waiting for the nade to explain as long

i have a demo of me doing it in 33seconds if people want that uploaded? - I know it can be done faster though as i didn't get a good jump to the first ladder and I made a mistake in the room after the first ladder.

Here's an idea of how fast you should be able to do it, split into sections.

To the top of the first ladder = 13seconds
To the top of the second ladder = 13 seconds
To the end = 7 seconds

I know that gives 31, but it depends how lucky you are on getting onto boxes (how long it takes to climb)

i'm assuming you're jumping from the top of the last set of boxes? You don't need a nade

it's okay haha, i've found another way to save time, i'll post a new demo soon. I reckon the new way i've found can make it possible to be done in 27seconds.
