Some New Music

Post by red_gee » December 18th, 2006, 4:00 am

So I got myself a Zune in late November, thank goodness I ordered it early, because it seems it is just about impossible to get it at a reasonable price outside of the US now
It came preloaded with some music and videos which I accidentally removed
But I was just wondering if you guys could throw out some names of bands I could try
I'm interested in hearing something new and different
I like all kinds of music, but I want to hear something a little more international
I like Rammstien and KMFDM. I don't speak much of any languages other than English, but when I hear music in a different language it seems more epic
So maybe you guys could make some suggestions
Thanks again

Try some of these. I'm aware some of the artists in the genres aren't accurate, but they're close enough ;)

Rap/Hip-hop:
Jurassic 5
The Roots
Ugly Duckling
Snoop Dogg
2Pac
N.W.A.
Atmosphere
Blackalicious
Kanye West
50 Cent (only some of his songs - a lot are SHIT!)

Alternative:
Keane
Thievary Corporation
Boy Kill Boy
Oasis
Rage Against The Machine
Lenny Kravitz
Muse
Starsailor
Groove Armada
The Feeling

Dance:
Overseer
The Prodigy
DJ Shadow
BT
Uniting Nations

Do any of those not sing in English? Like Rammstien?
A lot of those I am familiar with, but there are quite a few I am going to check into as well
I just love the way Rammstien sounds
Thanks guys

All of the ones I listed are English speaking, although Thievery Corporation is very good, chilled out music. I very much recommend you download... I mean buy... the following Thievery Corporation songs:

The Richest Man In Babylon
Until The Morning
Lebanese Blonde
Warning Shots
