Strafe jump?

hi and i am a noob and i cant figure out how to strafe jump. it will be helpful if one of yall will help me with this. my xfire is manbearpig12. i have tried out that turtorial yall have but i still cant do it. please help.

p.s. and please dont yell at me if i put this at the wrong place
