i like star trek because they include intellectual and intelligent concepts about science, physics, and quantum physics in every episode. The acting is well done and the special effects are impressive for the time it was made.
I like LOTR because the book itself is highly acredited as one of the best books ever written, and yet it does not adapt to the standard method of english writing. Therefore it strays from how it is said you "should write" establishing that you can write free of the "proper english form" and still create an amazing book. Also, the movies contain some of the best symbolism, and the most massive battles ive ever seen, along with other intellectually stimulating concepts. If you wrap that up with some of my favorite music and great acting, that is my liking of LOTR.
Now maybe you see why i dont like star wars? I enjoy things with symbolism and intellectual value, not just decent acting, medioccre to crappy intelligence on the characters, and no true intelligence in the movie itself. Basically, yes, it is just a movie for entertainment, there is no other value to it that the more stupid people of the world can't see. So for what it is, it is good, but in my opinion movies of that level are boring.

lol me and my dad watched star trek all day, I have all series @ my home. Enterprise and Voyager with Janeway r the best.
That's why my brother's computer doesn't need anti-virus software; 450MHz P3 doesn't meet virus's system requirements.
