Now this is just my take on it but, here goes

Brad: Mom, Dad, you know that money you worked so hard to save up for me to go to university?
Mom: Uh huh...?
Brad: Well, you see...
Dad: What is it boy? Having trouble finding a job with all that edumacation you got learned?
Brad: Not exactly
Mom: Well what are you trying to tell us son?
Brad: Look here
Mom and Dad: *Looking*
Brad: *Sigh of relief*
Mom: Oh my...

And Brad was never seen again
Some say he will dance of the eternal plane of happiness, others think he fled the country
Only Mom, Dad and, Brad now what events unfolded that faithful day

I'm sure it happens all the time, kids blow their university money on silly things (like online poker) and such
