General question to all
I thought I'd make this post to get some insight on the people here, so that we could learn about each other
What I was thinking, is asking "What are you doing now? (Occupation, school), Where do you want to be, in the future? (reasonably, and not reasonably)
Which Call of Duty do you prefer and why?
And where did your online alias come from?
Me, I am 21, almost 22, the end of August.
I work as a Class 6,7 and 8 truck Apprentice Mechanic in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.
I have been at my current place of employment for just over three years now. Most days I like, I am usually a proficient worker with very little problems, but we all have our days.
I got into it through a highschool teacher, I went to college for a year to do all of my schooling (In our apprenticeships we usually work and go to school on and off several times then write to get certified, I did all my schooling, at once, and now have enough logged hours to write to be certified)
In the future, reasonably, I don't know for sure, something different, very different, But I haven't figured it out yet.
Not reasonably, though, I'd love to be rich, or test vdieo games/make them, the thing is though I'd get very bored of them I think, and I don't want that
I used to play a lot of games when I was younger, then late highschool and college I kinda stopped, but I have been back into it for quite some time now, and I like it a lot
I have no major prefernce, there are more maps on vCOD and it runs better, but I like controls and feeling of CoD2
My alias red_gee, when I was 14, I think, I needed an email address (needed is a stretch) and some how I came up with red_gee, and the logic was if you said it fast it was my name Reggie...Well at the time I was just getting away from Reggie, I like Reg better, rhymes with less
And then there is wowono, that came one day when I wanted an AIM login, and I was like, wow, oh, no there are no names left, and I just made it
Side note, when I was in high school, I was very into computers, web design, graphics, flash, css, and a bit of programing, I learned turing when I was 16, I don't remember much of it anymore, But I really liked that stuff, and I think I still do

Hmm, interesting idea...
I'm 19, unemployed and enjoying every minute of it
Got my nick from where most people get theirs, name, but how is a questioned I leave for people to figure out.
Although I mainly use Drofder2004, the 2004 part was simply something that stuck with me after creating a lot of emails and logins under that nick. I have had email addresses with 2003/2005 but none I kept.
Love CoD/CoD2 (not a big fan of UO) and due to that, I have been working on mapping and modding. (At the moment creating mp_Pavlov for CoD2 and also creating the mods used on the CoD2 servers). Soon to be a member of mod team, RFW (Resistance From Within).
General interest in all things computer related (computer languages, computer hardware, computer ethics O_O), even bigger interest in (PC) gaming (mainly FPS), hopefully will be getting a job in the gaming industry.

I'm kinda young compared to you guys
I'm 14 still at school (duh)
Just picked my nick 5 years ago without the 73 and still using it, I got the 73 from when I played runescape and there was no name left.
I love cod 2, I never really did CoD or Cod UO for long.
My generall interest are the same as most of you guys, computers, coding and everything that's gotta do with that.

I'm 15, student and despising every minute of it ... on my warm-up year for GCSE exams ... an' stuff
I got my tag from when i first brought UT(goty), I wanted to have the name "Neo", after a while I realised I'd put "Neon" lol ... I preffered that and stuck with it. i'm not too enthusiastic about the name anymore as too many people have it ... I sometimes use "Faisst" after the FMX legend ronnie faisst ... just love the sound of that name.
I loved UO, but none of my friends play it anymore so moved to CoD2 which i'm not enjoying that much.
At the moment i'm caught between skating, learning photoshop, clan scims and catching up with coursework.
My general interests/hobbies: Skating, rugby, fitness, gaming, girls, drinking and anything really to do with computers.
For a career I don't mind what it is, as long as it pays alot. Ideally I would like to work with computers in some way, but meh....

I am 17, 18 on 1st December. I'm currently in sixth form (year 12), have recently finished my AS level exams and finish the school year at the end of this coming week! Next year I will be doing my A2 exams (which combined with my AS exams make my a levels - duh). I have been studying Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics, and intend to continue them next year.
In the future, I plan to do Actuarial Sciences (look it up if you don't know what it is... http://www.beanactuary.com), Economics, or a combination of the two. I was planning on doing Computer Science at university, but it won't be as well paid as the other career prospects, so I'm going for them
I hope to be an Actuary or something similar, well paid etc etc.
I prefer CoD1, although really I like them all. Whenever a new one comes out I prefer it loads to the older ones, but after a while I go back to good old CoD1 (happened with both CoD:UO and CoD2).
As for my alias, I have a 10 year old African Grey Parrot called Pedigree. We call him Peds for short, and for some reason about 5/6 years ago I added 'dude' on the end (I'm not even that much of a fan of the word 'dude', so I don't know where I got that from!).
