Just wanted to say
Thank you
Thank you all for not flaming me here in these forums, as I primarily play on the 360 (Although I do own a full retail version of COD, COD:UO and COD 2 on the PC)
From what I can tell through out the Call of Duty community, there is a bit of dislike from PC gamers to console gamers of the latest version of COD, and I can totally understand that, PC gamers have been shafted by IW...Activision, as we all know Activision does tell it's Dev's what to do.
But of all of the communities in Call of Duty, this is by far my favorite, from the people that I have seen here, to the absolute uniqueness of Jumper, nobody else out there has anybody on you guys
Jumping is the best,
I just wish there were more of us on the console end of things

Thanks for the post, we try and remain as helpful as we can with everything we do. Don't be afraid to stick around, and I'm fine with people that play cod2 on the 360.
And yes, jumping rules

Welcome to the community
I don't have anything against 360 users, I am a PC and Playstation fan myself, although I respect people's decisions to use other consoles (which are in my opinion obsolete to the power and magnificence of the PS2
).
It's great to see that the community spreads over to the 360 instead of just the PC.

Well, jumping on the 360 is next to non existant, there was a short period prior to the 1.2 patch that people would "gliitch" in levels
but a number of glitches, as you all know had been removed, as some should have, but I think they were done in a sloppy way on Activision/IW's part
Now as far as jumping goes, anything you guys can do, we can do...Except that strafe jumping is really difficult, asyou do not have individual control of walking and strafing, the look speeds don't seem to be right, and well jumping moving and looking takes three hands with a controller, or a well played index finger, strafe jumping can be done, but it is hard
Otherwise I like to find the best accessible vantage points, that aren't cheap, what I want people to do is see me play and wonder, "You can get there?" and then explore, we have all been given a great game, but there are a lot of people out there not playing all of it to its fullest, well except for the people here
So in a nutshell, I try my best to jump, strafe jumping is minimal, and I don't try to get too crazy because people will get mad and call you a cheater...And that is not what I am trying to do

F*ck what people have to say about it, its a matter of jealousy. I love going on servers and jumping to somewhere really hard to get to, then to get a ton of abuse about cheating. I rarely jump on a server to get a vantage point, mainly jump to show off. Nothing better than being a show off

Well yeah, totally, but you usually get noticed by killing people, then they start to wonder where is that guy, how did he get there...I don't go for vantage points, but I want people to see that I can get places they can't, unless they try it out
Crappy thing is on the 360 you cannot look straight down or straight up, which can wreak havoc on nade jumps

Indeed, it's the electronic equivalent of Parkour, trying to push the boundaries and not be restrained by things blocking your path
I quite like getting good vantage points in matches to gain an advantage, such as covering a bomb, although it's slightly ambiguous in matches as to whether you're allowed to be in certain places (although most of the time I do it anyway

Yeah, we can only get maps that were deved by IW or through IW
We got two packs recently, one free one not
the free one has Wallenader (sp?) which is crossing the rhine from single player
it also has a level called vossenack, which is a really small field, composed of snipers, the matches can go very one sided
the pay maps came with a level called kalach, which is the large building from the russian single player level where you fix the telephone wire
and a level called beumount hague, which is silo town
IW did there best to keep jumping toa minimum in these levels, but there are still some things you can do, but not nearly as many as in the original maps

you got ripped off man, no offence but the repair cable and silo town came out with the game. the mp was made by some guys alittle later who made it compatible for cod2 mp. I have to say tho, IW took off alot of jumps on the mp maps just like they did to 360's maps.
