Light / Brightness problems

Post by disciple1990 » June 1st, 2006, 9:23 pm

Well I have now made my 1v1 map but i got another problem......

As you can see from the picture below everything is like in a shadow...ive tried adding lights as you can see in the corners but they do not seem to work, and wen i make more of them lights its just so bright that you cannot see it. How do i make it the same brightness as say.....harbor ramp room or maybe just a tiny bit brighter? Thanks if you can help me........

Please oh please, dont make another wawa map. Im tired of those

Anyway to the point:
What you have to do is add the worldspawn values, which can be found on http://www.modsonline.com.
Then it will add the light everywhere that is open so if the light doesnt come in you could:

1)Lower the walls
2)Add lights but bring the brightness down in places that are kinda dark
To dim them down select the light and press N then type in
Key:light
Value:(30 or any other number(default is 300))

Thats what I got :)
And think of something alittle more creative :P
Coding is Poetry. Mapping is Art.
