Rules for CoD2 gap jumping

so i've seen that jumps past 250units is possible with 250fps, but is it confirmed by most people that 250fps works for them since it doesn't seem to work for me and i tried various jumping techniques. 125fps would definately be used again since it works for everyone and is a faily low number so most people can get the fps needed. 333fps doesn't seem to make you jump further so that will be ruled out anyway.

so the question is what do you lot think of having a gap records table for 250fps as well as 125fps. also please post if 250fps works for you and possibly what kind of pc set up you have, to check to see what kinda setups it works for.

lastly, i will completely fix the gap jumping page tomorrow

Well I'm up for allowing 250 fps Records.

I dont have an Amazing pc setup and i can get 250 fps quite easily. As 125 & 333 fps were know ones to use in COD, I think that 125 & 250 should be ok for COD2.

Most people should get 250 fps these days with decent pc's and the ones that dont probably dont even get 125 so they are buggered anyway for gap's.

My PC= 3000+ AMD 6600GT 128mb 1gig Ram

Im against the use of 250 fps since I cant reach it.
And by the looks of it it gives u a great advantage. Louw I believe managed to add 16 units to his gap record by using 250 fps instead of 125.

i agree with ai, though i can probably reach it with the right settings it gives yourself an unfair advantage upon those with lower end pcs.

So what about the people who cant get 125? Everyone using 125 is unfair on them! Lets lower the FPS to 75 then to make sure EVERYONE gets a fair crack at it?????

There is enough people who cant get 125 because they are in the jump server saying so every day.

You have either got to make it fair across the board i.e Allowing EVERYONE a chance as in 75 fps or u got to allow all fps surely?

Things change roll with it

Well at the end of the day you lot will make a descision based on whether its suits you or not to allow 250fps.

If it was fairness then a lower fps would be needed other than 125 to like i said allow ALL a chance to jump from a level playing field.

250 is better just if they wanne jump farther they have to buy a better pc

i am for 125fps and not everyone got an new pc i will never get 250 i am glad if i get 100 fps to strafe

I dont really care about the gap-records, but at least mappers SHOULD make their maps based on jumps possible with 125 fps.

Hm, sorry boys but i dont understand. All jumps must be ONLY with 250 fps ? Or only 125 =). I made 247 with 125 and dont want make that jump yet. Damn strafe, i'm not good with him =). Well, with 250 fps all jumps more easier

and i agree with agree with grom when the mappers start do make maps for 250fps people i cant jump anymore and it is not only me who cant strafe then

I can't get 70 fps let alone 125 and even tho I'm could care less about gap jumping at all, I think that it should stay at 125 because "most" people can achieve that.

yep correct louw ... make a table with 125 and 250 gap records ... its the best lotion for all
