Battle For Europe - Call of Duty

About Battle For Europe

Battle For Europe is a campaign style tournament for Call of Duty and Call Of Duty 2. Upon registration players will be randomly assigned to one of four divisions, either as an Axis private or and Allied private; and from there one of eight unique regiments. The simulated war is fought out week by week, and a map shows the progress of the two armies.

How Battle For Europe Works

Players will join an army (Allied or Axis) and from there join a regiment. Each army has a CinC (Commander in Chief) and 1 general to lead the division. The CinC makes all the strategic decisions on where his divisions will attack. Three times a week the armies will engage each other for cities across Europe. The progress of the war is displayed on a strategy map where cities change colour based on which army controls them. Battles last a full twelve hours to determine the outcome. So the player can play as much or as little as you choose.

Battle For Europe 10 registration is open and will remain open until the campaign comes to a close. If you choose to join this unique environment you will have a great time meeting and playing with people from all over the world!

The current divisions and regiments that are engaged in combat are:
German Divisions and Regiments
3rd Panzer-Grenadier division
103th Panzer Regiment
29th Fusilier Regiment

Allied Divisions and Regiments
2nd South-African Division
3rd Armoured Car Recon Regiment
7th Field Artillery Regiment

We play Search and Destroy, Capture the flag and Headquarters gametype for the battles and we use a lot of different custom maps for vCod(when mapping tools come out we will to for Cod2). Just come and check out BFE-CoD see if you like the atmosphere and community but trust me you will not leave it quickly once you get here. During battle and just any other day we use TeamSpeak (TS) and Xfire.

Fixed your post so it used quotes only (using Code tags will make your links not work).

Anyone who has free time on their hands, and would like to join a large "organized" game of SD, I would recommend this. I was part of one of the seasons, but stopped because of a few issues (time mainly).

Definitly was a good experience (be warned, theirs lots of American gamers though ;))

And it's on american servers, isn't it? So you would have a medium/high ping if you're European.

I take it Dan is very very highly ranked on BFE :)

We play on Euro servers for first halves :P which is from 4pm GMT till 10pm GMT every Wed+Sat for CoD2 and every Sun for vCoD :)

For CoD2, due to the lack of CoD2Rad we have to play CTF and HQ, CTF and HQ are good and make a change to constantly playing SD, but can be annoying if your slighlty outnumbered ;) but that's why we introduced the +3 rule (basically one side can't be more then 3 players then the other side) lol and yup, Im a TA (Tourny Admin) ;)

psst keep up the advertising pez ;)

When you said Euro, I was thinking of rejoining....

then you said HQ/CTF... both gametypes are PURELY public gametypes IMO.

What is MAX-a-side? The small maps just couldn't hold however many we played with on CoD.

(Even on US Server, it was quite FUN, I was part of the 25th (Russains) and just grabbed a PPSh and had a defensive rampage :P)

It's 12v12 on two servers (since theirs two regiments per side) :D
and we limit playing HQ and CTF... we play 3 maps a battle (6 sets of 2hrs - so 1st half plays each map once, then same for 2nd half) and we usually play 2 maps SD and one map CTF, or 2 maps SD and one map HQ, or all 3 maps SD... we play more SD then CTF, and we play more CTF then HQ :D Confused? :P lol

So according to you....

BFE is mainly CTF & HQ....
so, CTF&HQ>SD

then you say that above^^

SD>CTF>HQ

So?

SD>CTF>HQ>SD

Now... confused :P

rofl Drofder...

Ok we play more SD then CTF+HQ combined... but we play more CTF then HQ... we play 3 maps every battle and 2 of the maps are always SD and the other last map is usually CTF, sometimes its HQ and sometimes its another round of SD...

We would like to play even more SD but theres no mapping tools out yet :( so we are limited on the number of maps :x

EDIT: and Euro Domination is solely for clans... BFE is for anyone to come join and have some fun - bring you clan to join too :D

A quick update of things:

Image

Wednesday

The tireless forces of the Wehrmacht found themselves on the defensive eaarly this week as the Allies continued their spree of offenses in Western Europe.

The 29th Fusilier Regiment found itself in a desperate retreat as 3rd Armoured Car raced in from Denmark. The stakes were high and every officer was present to ensure a victory for his respective side. The british showed no mercy as they sucessfuly established a firm grip on the fields surrounding Holland. They rapidly and with sucession routed enemy forces stationed in various cities. By mid afternoon the enemy was at the gates and set up whater defenses it could muster. Spanduas blazed,'Potato Mashers' exploded and bullets where shred at frightening pace but this was no match for the 3rd Armoured Car recon which took the city block by block and received countless surrenders. Before night, the white flag was floating in the capitol and Wehrmacht forces taken as prisoners.

Back in Paris, the 103rd Panzer regiment was in luck to have escaped a plausible defeat as its city of garisson was nothing but a giant ruin of smoldering ash and gravel. Through a minsinterpreted reconaissance run, the 7th Field Artillery misinterpreted paris for Cherbourg and were alarmed at the presence of enemy troops. The attack was called off, a time for both forces to recuperate.

Saturday

A counterattack of German nature is a force to be reckoned with and when it hits, it hits hard and deadly.

LtCol Kal's forces stationed at Calais were startled to see a full regiment of infantry supproted by Panzer tanks blitz into the region.
The fearless Deutsch offiziere lead their faithful soldiers with merit and decimated all American forces on site. Quickly setting up heavy gun positions to aim at the coast. The Germans pounded the beach with thundering might, destroying any and all artillery the 7th Regiment could muster.By midday,it was just a matter of time until the Americans gave up. No reinforcements available and with thier backs to the sea, the Americans emptied out their Thompsons with no remorse until the Germans charged and then it was all over. The superior tanks and infantry chased the last patriots who managed to remove their gear and flee into the sea but finally the port was secure.

Most likely the worst-fought battle by german infantry this campaign, the second assault on Copenhagen in response to the captures of Berlin and Amsterdam lasted only a few hours. With a last breath of courage and strength, 103rd Panzer assaulted the heavy fortified border of Denmark but did not expect to be attacked. They were wrong, the thin flanks of the attacking forces were grinded by Allied units in Amsterdam and Berlin seizing the 103rd Panzers in a death trap. With little to work with, offiziere could not stop the incoming attacks and organization crumbled. Copenhagen would stay in Allied hands.

Sunday

A battle hidden in secrecy, the fate of the 3rd Panzer Grenadiers is not for sure known. How and why the 3rd Division was there is hard to explain but all that is known is that it suffered heavy losses in and around the area of Gibraltar. In a massive fight for the city lying at the base of the rocky fortress countless souls perished as the Panzer-Grenadiers struggled against the 2nd South African division to demolish its fuel stockpiles, anti-air batteries and transport lines. With very little success, they barely managed to secure bases for attack and and the german lines struggled on the strains of losing too many men. The American weaponry was most likely the cause as BARs and Tommys were unleashed from houses upon the MP40 weilding attackers. In the end the German numbers diminished and another german surrender was made during this week.
