How come, axis players spawn far away?

Post by leveller » March 27th, 2006, 9:20 pm

I know that killed players are respawned far from the enemy and close to own players.
but i noticed when playing cod tdm,

verry often even when axis are advancing forward,
the guys who get killed get spawned far away from the rest.

Much more often then allied players.

i'm verry curiouse about the reason why.

Check the gametype file and the corresponding file (_spawnpoints? or simliar)

I'm sure its exactly the same for both teams and just a coincidence.

I know exactly what is written in the files about the respawning and where it should happen.

i wouldn't ask before checking it.

maybe it is just a coincidence, but its a strange coincidence that alwas occures when i'm playing as axis.

and d*mn, i always have to walk 3 miles before being in action again.

I think its because of the area being attacked. Hard to explain, but the game just tries to determine the furthest from your opponent and closest to your allies, and spawn you there.

Maybe it because your so good the game thinks you should run further ;)

Altho that rule is the complete oposite in COD2, Sometimes, if I am a german, I will spawn right in front of a firing american. Makes me mad, and it does this alot in HQ to, so I have to wait 10 extra seconds for nothing.
