Something for the weekend.

Well, heres something I thought I would spring upon you today. My first official map release. :)

Nobody knew it was coming and only 1 person has beta'd it.

All jumps are possible (to Lukes standards, so dont expect any thing to be easy).

The map was inspired the map I learnt to trickjump on... Maniac Mansion (for Enemy Territory).

This is a single person (not SP) map, do not use it on servers, its way to narrow and would be stupid...

So here you go, enjoy... Any bugs, say...

very hard so needless to say i skipped a few jumps, but the map was very creative, it was good at holding the atmosphere, it had a theme throughout the map, and the scripting was very excellently done.

excellent map! all the jumps are possible with 125fps (a couple are easier with 333fps). also, using my original strafe jumping technique helped me a lot with a few jumps. it will be interesting to see if anyone can make a map run, i tried once (2nd time playing map) and got over half way through without dying or saving. so once i update the maps record page i hope to see 1 or 2 ppl make a run for this map, i will also try to make 1 when i get time im a couple of weeks

a final note, the jumps where u slide down then jump at the end when u hit the small platform was actually an idea i thought up for my map (jm_legend) over 1.5 years ago which unfortunately will never be completed since i really got fed up of radiant crashing on me. other stuff like the spiked traps and getting a time limit to complete jumps in nm_unlocked were also idea i had planned. good to see people have good imagination and come up with it themselves...finally :P i think i still have a few ideas no 1 has used yet, and i don't mind giving them out so u know who 2 ask if u want them.

Thanks all. As I said, the idea came from a Enemy Territory map that I first started strafe jumping on, which led me here, to CoDJumper. As a thanks for that, I remade the map with a few changes.

Most of the map is based around the ET map, but there are things I did not add due to CoD not being as fast as ET. There was going to be 3 pendulums that you would have to jump on to get to a switch, but I decided against it as Pendulums are completly buggy and would end up screwing up...

About half way through the map, I had to start using my own ideas, and recreating most of it myself, but things like the "Get the map to the truck" is also a part of the ET map, but the coding took me ages to get to work.

I would like to see my map completed in a single run, I would be impressed, most of the jumps are around 250 and the nade jump is about 306 units...

I may release the map (or a section of it) so people can see the mapping technique I use and complain about people not using :P
So if you want to look at the map file then say so, I do not mind if people borrow stuff from the map but only with permission :)

Indeed, I liked it very much too. There were about 2 jumps I got stuck on, although it was 1am and I was tired ;)

On the plus side, I'm starting to get my technique back now - I managed to jump 248 yesterday ;)

just checking, but if u miss the nade jump there is no way back up is there? cos if im gonna try 2 do a run for this map there r 4 jumps which will make it very difficult, since u only get 1 chance to make those jumps. 1 is that nade jump (no practice at nade jumping) and the other 3 r jumps over lava which r hard cos of the small platforms. but i guess thats all part of the challenge 8)
