You would be competing with some of the greatest mappers for CoD tbh, R&R and possibly the After-Hours guys. Bah, wouldn't have a chance tbh

for that Prise its not worth the effort
cumon FX5700 = Lame (bearly better than my dad's FX5500
Audgy 2 ZS gamer is ok but its only slightly better than a standard Audgy 2 Zs (£30)
and that harddrive is like crap, if it was a WD raptor it would be better
i might make a map just for something to do :p

Its an ultra, so its quite a bit better than the 5500. But tbh, I can see what you mean, its not exactly top of the market for 1st prize.
BUT, its free if you win so tbh, you cant complain

true but what im saying is. its bearly going to be an improvment for most people. an they'll have to upgrade again in a few months especially if they want to play the next gen games like UT2007.
personally i feel for a large community the guys at modsonline could have at least offered something more... desirable heck for the £189.00 the FX5700Ultra costs they could be offrering a 2Gb Corsair Balistics Ram Kit, or even a "XFX GeForce 6800 GS Extreme XXX Edition 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI"
or a, "Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 GTO² 256MB DDR3 TV-Out/DVI" [which is frankly a 850XT PE with the modded bios]
meh end of rant about pointless prises
maby i should be ranting about the thoughtless idiots who sponsored the competition

As drofder said, you'd be competing with some of the best cod mappers out there - tbh I wouldn't have a chance in hell of winning, so I'm not going to bother entering

Tbh, what's the point of doing that?
It's better to get working on a real map you're gonna release
