Post by Soviet » November 6th, 2005, 4:02 pm

These two commands can raise your CoD2 fps by as much as 40% or not all, i think it raised mine about 25%. The commands are

No.

Apologise for being such an arse first, and I will stop the public humiliation.

anyway, back on topic, here is some more things that can help

Config settings:

a. Find your 'config_mp_cfg' file within the CoD2 game directory under the players profile folder, open it with wordpad.
You can use 'edit'>'find' to search for keywords to easily locate specific lines.

seta com_hunkMegs "512" (only if you run in excess of 512mb of system memory)
seta r_glow "0"
seta r_drawSun "0" (if you hate staring into glare)
seta cg_drawFPS "Simple" (for showing frame rate)

This lines are not within your config_mp.cfg file and are set when the game launches each time. You will have to ADD the lines at the end of your config_mp.cfg file and make the file 'READ ONLY' in order for them to stay each time you exit/enter the game.
