when i start my pc, and open IE for the first time(and only the first) i get these little box ads popping up, one has this url at the top http://media.fastclick.net and has some shit in it like click here to find a date lol..its annoying, and there must be some crap on my pc, i've got ad-aware pro, xp pro with sp2 popup blocker enabled but i still cant get rid of it.....any suggestions plz :?:

2 things I can think of;

- Spybot search and destroy
- Hijack this (be very carefull with this tool. It scans your registry for strings, but almost all strings have to be in there, make a log file and post it here then I'll check which strings can be deleted. DON'T delete anything if yo are not sure what it is.

And after you have get rid of the spyware/adware, get rid of IE and start using a real browser... :wink:

Also, like what Yose said, use Adaware along side spybot.

Do not screw around with HijackThis, unless you no what your doing.

and then do as Grom said and GET FIREFOX!

thx guys, i got spybot s&d and it fixed 17 problems...i rebooted and i didnt get any popups :) i also got the firefox browser, and it seems pretty cool :D
