Hello, and thanks for reading this btw...
I've been trying to make mods, i havent seen any tutorials online, so i've been trying to figure it out by myself ^^
Basically, what i want, is to make a model, and have it as a gun.
Basically add a new weapon.
I want to use it as a throwing knife or something, so i opened up the asset_manager(CoD1)
and i scrolled down to "grenadeweapon" and added in the alternatives, included my weapon model(wich is a monkey head, for testing lol xD)
But when i try to save the .gdt file, i cant open it up, i just get a blank asset manager file, and not the one i saved at all.
The model type i used is .3ds, i can also export obj, and x3d.
So, heres my question in a smaller part:
How do i create a Call of Duty 1 mod, that adds a new weapon that is used as a throwing knife, or a normal gun, just something that can help me start modding.

modsonline.com should have the tutorials you require, maybe someone can help here, but weapons are off the list for me.
