My sister went to the match Ajax-AZ last wednesday. A hooligan ran onto the field all the sudden to attack the keeper of AZ but instead the keep kicked the hooligan his ass. Therefore he got the redcard, is it even fair to get a redcard for defending yourself against an aggresive hooligan? o.o

Violent conduct. The ref is obligated to send the player off. The two kicks the keeper gives can hardly be seen as "defensive".

To confirm, the game was cancelled (team left field), a replay has not yet been confirmed.
The sad fact is, when shit like this happens, it puts risk to the players and games end up being played in closed stadiums.

According to some news articles the guy is a known, banned hooligan with ACAB (all cops are bastards) tattoo on his back.

Red card was justified even though it's 'unfair'. They're trying to get his red card removed though.

Yep, the referee's argument was that the keeper went beyond simply defending himself, which is fair enough. Having said that, I would have done what the keeper did.

I am a fan of ajax but yet I think its not fair to send the keeper off. The first kick was defensive and maybe he shouldn't has done the last 2 kicks, but I could imagine how aggresive you would get of an idiot running onto the field like that. The red card of the keeper should be removed and the match should be replayed from 38th min on with 1-0 for ajax just as it was when AZ went off the field.

So a better example for children is to watch how the keeper get punched by a random? Whats the difference for children to see a keeper getting knocked out or a random idiot getting kicked by the keeper? In this case atleast good wins (the keeper)

Neither. Which is why the keeper got sent off and the hooligan arrested.
In the UK (or US) it would not be suprising for the hooligan to sue for unlawful assault, as the goalkeeper continued to kick him
