You speak the truth. It's garbish for most people. I was thinking exactly the same a lot of years back when I first heared it. You will only understand if you actually like metal, and if you do like it, you understand how crap nowadays pop is(Most that is, I value some bands). It's not about taste, it's, it's just a fact.

Ah well, maybe some day people will come to realise

I'm fairly sure there's 'music' in the background in the form of a drum beat and strings...
