Ordered my PC version of Cod4

Ive finally ordered my copy of call of duty 4, and a seagate 250GB 7200RTM 16mb cache hard drive, and should be getting some extra RAM. ive been practicing my strafes and bounces on xbox and im definately getting better but no where near CoDjumper standards when i get the game and install etc would i be able to make a video of some of my strafes and failed strafes so that someone would perhaps give it a look and give me some creative criticism? Remember you can actually create demos instead of actual movies for let's say youtube.

sorry to 'bump' this but...

i got my cod4 installed etc and played some public. ive downloaded a custom map and made a 'usermaps' folder in cod4 and extracted to there when i load cod4 the map isnt there also ive tried the /map mapname thingy and it doesnt work?
also how do you do stuff like /noclip when i do it on my own server it says that cheats arent enabled??? sorry but i honestly havent played any pc game before apart from sims lol

Make sure that you are running a mod when you try to start a custom map.
If you wan't to use cheats you have to be in developer mode (/devmap mapname).

ok thanks how do i join the codjumpers servers? its too complicated for me to insta;l codjumper mod but peds says that if i join a CJ server itl auto download it for me?

Start the game and type it into your console.

Get Xfire, its comfortable to join servers.

ok ive tried doing this in my own server, main menu, and on the join game screen.

what ive done is opened console and typed "/connect 89.145.98.100.29260" without the "". also ive tried "/devmap crash" and ive tried on bloc. nothing is working??

If you join an official CJ server it automaticly downloads all downloadable files to the correct folders. It's much easier if you don't know how to do it because if you have no mods and maps anywhere, you have to create those folders first.
