Codjumperv3 mod help

Hi.

I downloaded the recent codjumperv3 mod for cod4 and i have a lot of prolems in starting the server.

I tried in local way and it goes only if i put g_gametype cj. (i didn't found anything on the forum regardin this thing or other things that must be put in server.cfg in order to make the server run). My server is linux and i tried everything via cfg. Also restoring default commands, punkbuster on/off, stock or custom maps and other things via cfg but nothing worked.

May someone help me?

I also noticed that you removed that useful thing that allows you to put maps iwd files in map folder and not in mod folder. May i ask you why?


On the other hand i have another problems in running mp_portal; in local everything ok but on server (running old codjumper_beta and linux) it crashes... Ostmob says me that i have to put codjumperv3 but in local i succeded also with the old mod and wiith the newest i fail...

1. Full instructions not yet released as it is technically still a beta (until tomorrow I hope). The issue with local is due to the mod not being loaded before the main game is loaded, causing an "aerna" file error. To use locally, use a target line of "+set fs_game mod/codjumperv3". Also I am not linux operating here, so cannot help wit linux related issues.

2. I have no idea what you are on about... I have removed nothing, so my guess is an issue with your own setup. To my knowledge The CoDJumper servers have done nothing in regards to custom maps.

3. mp_portal has issues on several mods, that includes the codjumperbeta, hopefully, by complete chance and luck the problem has cured itself with the new mod.


To play mp_portal locally:
1. Start game
2. Load mod
3. Open console
4. Type "/g_gametype cj; map mp_portal"

i run the new Mod on #8 too with alot custom maps and dont have any problems no matter if the files must be in mod- or mapfolder

@Drofder2004

i have no problem in running either mod or map in local mode. Everything crashes when i try to apply new mod or mp_portal (either with new or old mod) to a linux based hosted online server. I noticed that it doesn't give me a games_mp.log file in order to check what the system register before crashing.

The server doesn't start at all... and as i said i tried a lot of things via cfg or changing the name of the folder but nothing worked.

Hello guys. I have a problem. When I start the mod on 1.0-1.2 version I have error and game crash. Try to start from shoutcut - error. On beta version I havent smth like it, mod works fine. My logfile:

I get the same sorta thing. I can only run the mod by changing it to gametype cj, dm doesnt work for some reason. Im running windows 7

dm doesnt work because dm isnt the codjumepr gametype, cj is.

The problem at the moment is that the arena file is not being read when the mod is chosen.
However if you start the game using a commandline of "+set fs_game mod/codjumperv3" it should work fine.

Sorry, have 0 knowledge on linux.

The next release (tomorrow most likely) is going to have a significatn drop in the amount of localised strings, which I believe to be an issue on linux servers, so we shall see if that helps.

After some research, I have discovered Linux boxes were failing when using an altered version of the localised files. So, I have moved localisation to new files and hopefully that will solve the issue.
