Location on the Earth is no excuse for being smart or stupid, especially if you live in a high GDP country like America. As for what the equation actually means...

dy/dx is the derivative of y with respect to x, therefore you need to find the derivative of the equation 4x^6. The derivative of 4x^6 with respect to x is 24x^5, however I added a multiplication factor of x prime (x') to the end, implying I did implicit differentiation using the chain rule. But, since I was differentiating with the respect to x, using implicit differentiation was unnecessary and wrong, thereby making the derivative I ended up with wrong (on purpose). All better?
