yer i recorded sound with fraps (i recorded all first with fraps so i had the sound) then cut out half andadded avi demo. Ok there is an odvios qaulity difference, but there is are advantages and disadvanteges of each program. Ok avidemo has MUCH better quality as u can see. Everything is much clearer, u cant make out the names, see all the details and its niceand shiny. However it took me 20 mins to record tat short bit of avi (what was it maybe15 seconds) and thats just GAY. And it dosent recordsound, takes up alot of space with the screenshots and its alot harder to render and takes moretime. With fraps it takes as long as it does to normaly watch a demo (so normal time) u can record sound, easier to work, find the records and alot easier to edit afterwords. Butas u can see its quality is shit compared to avi. So realy i still personly will stick to fraps, unless i am doinga short clip

avidemo shouldn't take that long matty. Keep the fps counter on what kind of fps you get with avidemo? you shoukd be in heb 10-20 region. If like 0-2 then you have a bug called. It will mabye fix if you do /r_fullscreen 0 in youre cfg (think it's /seta r_fullscreen 0 in cod or sumthing).

i recorded that with cl_avidemo 120 and r_fullscreen 0. I have easy 120 fps when recording and still takes that long
