I stand by that quote. It isn't exactly profound, but it is utterly true and describes the world in a very accurate way. Just because it isn't known doesn't mean it isn't good. I know a number of popular quotes that are utter crap that are very well known. That's Bertrand Russell by the way, he is considered the premiere rationalist philosopher of the 20th century and revolutionized many patterns of thinking within philosophy. Among other things he also won a Nobel Prize for his work. So yes, you better know who he is
I had trouble with the text. Because the quote is so long it's hard to get a decent length on the text. The reason he's brighter than the rest is because the background stuff was not part of the original sig. By the time I got that background in place I had already started to question the point of making it, so I just slapped a .png extension on it and uploaded it.
As for the color, I agree that it would help however I typically do color off of an emphasis basis and since Russell is the emphasis of the sig that makes it pretty much impossible. Normally, you take the color version and overlay it with blending effects and erasing onto the black and white, but without a color version I can't really do anything.
