Internet sorted and the connection seems pretty decent (6-8 ping for UK CoD4 servers).

As for the university, I don't know a great deal about it as yet but from everything I have seen so far it looks pretty good.

Fuck, I get 60-80 on Aussie servers, even servers hosted in the same city. UK internet FTW.

UK Internet as a whole sucks really badly compared to many places. University internet however seems to have a really great ping, but youtube doesn't buffer perfectly smooth every time for me :s

I'll settle with great ping + average download speeds though.

Can't be worse than here, I've probably said this before, 400 kb/s down, 6-10kb/s up, 70 ping, and 250 gb a month, all this for $90 per month .

When I and two others worked at our school we had admin access. So we done what most people would do, turn on Imesh and abuse the amazing connections. Games were being downloaded in under an hour and the amount of music my friend downloaded was unreal. Topping it off, we used their DVD's and Cd's to burn it all...

I love school internet

(Usually though, they have really poor upload and as said, things like youtube take long to buffer)

Indeed, university connections have to be very fast for all the people who need to use it on a daily basis, so it's not surprising how fast it is.
