Yeah well this is a topic about hobbies so I assumed you count you working as a hobby. I'm sure people do work over the holidays, it's just that here we talk about our hobbies, not summer jobs.

In holland the majority of the students go working.. I only worked for 4 weeks, now I have to go study for my re-tests again.. But a lot ppl work during the entire summer.. Even been in the newspaper once, that dutch youth, does not throttle back/throttles up in the holiday.

Most of my friends have / are getting a job over the summer. That's mainly university students, however, as some need money for the next year etc. or are looking for work experience. I might get a job, although I'm going on holiday later this month and then after that I've only got a few weeks before I go back to university, so I don't think it's worth getting one now.
