I stayed idle in a server overnight for about 7 hours and didn't unlock anything.

I so far got my Baseball Bat and the Force-A-Nature.

Got the Bonesaw for the Medic.

Got a spy thing (The stopwatch or something)

And 3 fucking Backburners.

And no sniper weapon which I want most. It sucks seeing snipers who suck balls with the bow and razorback.

I have unlocked through achievements (all on live gaming servers) the scout weapons, I have unlocked all the weapons for the medic with achievements (thanks to NM ) and have not unlocked ANYTHING else. Am I missing something, do I need to do something to get this to work or do I just have to throw some lucky dice >.>

It works on a system Valve invented called random. It is very complex, you sit on servers and wait. You can still, however, unlock Scout, Pyro, Heavy, and Medic weapons through achievements.

Can you only use it once? I got all the Scout weapons from the achievements, and the Heavy gloves from idling.

Left my PC on overnight in an idle server for 2 nights and unlocked nothing, and then I find out that you have to be appearing as online on Steam

So far I've unlocked Razorback and Natasha heavy gun. I expect many more unlocks overnight tonight!
