Guitar Hero: World Tour
Mainly, I'm making this thread to ask a question, but you can talk about it here if you want . I wanted to ask if its somehow possible to buy the drums separate (in a store, not on ebay or online) from the game. I looked around and couldn't find anything on it :s.

Re: Guitar Hero: World Tour
Well, I'm at school atm with nothing better to do, so i'll pos a review on this game i suppose.
I got this game for xmas, and it's basically the same as guitar hero 3, but with more songs, drums + vocals, and more things to do with the guitar. Let's start with the guitar. They added a "slide" bar on the neck of the guitar and its very fun to mess around with. It can do 3 things: act like a whammy, if you tap it, it acts as a strum, and ther are some "special" notes which you can hit with it. There are some notes on some songs which have a purple shadow, and those can be hit with the slide bar by hitting the appropriate section (here's a picture :O)
As for the drums, i find them very fun to play, but tiring (at least for me, since i don't know how to be efficient at playing them :s). There are 2 cymbols and 3 drums and a foot pedal, and i find it the hardest instrument to play, but the funnest by a long shot. If you've ever played Rock Band, the drums are basically the same. The foot pedal note is a purple line instead of a yellow one, and the foot pedal itself, is the only reason why drums are the hardest instrument in guitar hero (imo). I can beat/FC most songs on medium, but when i move up to hard, foot pedal notes are added more often and make it hard.
The vocals are just that, vocals. You can hum or sing into the mic and you have to match the pitch displayed on the screen (can't find a pic of it atm).
Overall, i'd give it:
Graphics:6.5
Gameplay:8.5
SinglePlayer(Career):6
Songs:9
Overall:7.75

Re: Guitar Hero: World Tour
I'd never buy the game myself, but i've played it for like 7 hours straight pretty much at a mates house. It's incredibly fun. I can properly "metal scream" so I just set the vocals on beginner so i don't fail and make all songs metal
I play the drums for real, which annoys me when playing the World tour drums, because the middle drum is completly out of place which puts me off.

My friend got this, sold his rock band to buy the full kit, and he says its well worth it. £150 for a single game, though .

I prefer rock band actually. Neither drum kit is realistic at all, although the GH one looks more realistic. The screens and songs are better on rock band.
Re: Guitar Hero: World Tour
I think theyre both average. GH3 with drums + vocals ftw.
By the way. Oh shit ive forgot...you got it for xbox 360 GHIII if you do send me a frequest
