Your First Map In Radiant
Starting Radiant

Before we begin creating your first map you should at least read over the interface that your going to be working with. While most tools will be referenced again it is always good to know what your working with.
Radiant Interface Tutorial

You do not have to create an exact copy of what I made, just enough to become familiar with the basics. The advanced work will come with experience and playing with it.

Using this tutorial make a simple house that looks similar to the picture below. This house has two rooms, a door, a window, and a roof. It also has a very simple mesh for a yard.

These are the textures I used for the map, first is the name of the texture and it is followed by the filter settings. If you cant find it then make sure the unlisted filters are set to "all".

o Usage -> Ground
* berlin_roofs_brick_slate3
o Usage -> Roof
* berlin_wall_concrete_blocks_dark
o Usage -> Exterior Wall
* berlin_wall_concrete_reichstag_int

Models and Prefabs

You can place as many models or prefabs as you want but for the tutorial we will just place one model. Place "static_berlin_dining_table_sq" on the floor in the house where ever you want.

Skybox and Worldspawn

Surround your map with your skybox and use the following sky texture.

Lighting
Lighting your room

Create two lights, one in each room, with the "Key / Value" of "radius / 512". Do not create any primary lights because the sky is the default primary light so with doors and windows you will just get errors.

Gametypes and Player Spawns
Player spawns and gametypes

Place the spawns for DM, TDM, and your global_intermission in the yard. Be sure to place then near the ground but NOT through the ground.
