There are no dog animations for MP, therefore you cannot use the dog for anything but a static model.

No, SP models use different bone rigging than MP. Conversion just leave the models being heavily distorted and broken.

you can in fact use the sp models for mp. novemberdobby done it in his zombie mod and its not static. it even has prone, crouch and stand positions.
