I just done a system restore on my pc and ive tryed to reinstall cod2 and its saying somthing about RESTRIGTION PnKBuStA

Any1 have any idea of working this ???

Moved to Support. Deleted the other topic from comments and suggestions which was virtually the same post. Try uninstalling punkbuster first, go to punkbuster.com you should be able to get help there if noone can help here.

try to set the services to automatic of punkbuster and test it witht he setup file of punkbuster

I had this a few days ago and have fixed it since.

To sum it all up, they had an update about a week or so ago, where they made PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe compulsary - i.e. they HAVE to be running otherwise you can't get in PB enabled servers. Beforehand, they had it running but it wasn't necessarily needed.

A month or so ago I saw PnkBstrB.exe was running on my computer and suspected it to be a virus, so I set McAffee to block it from running. Basically, you need to set PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe to your allow list in your firewall so that they can run. They are located in C:\Windows\system32.

Once added to the allow list, download this file, uninstall and then install PB and let it run its tests. It should run fine and install and your problem should be solved. If it doesn't, then fill out this form on the PB website and await a reply.

nah i just set the services of punkbusterA and B to automatic - they were deactivated and I dunno why
