MY FIRST MAP

i have created a basic room with light and the spawn but when iv compiled it and went to run map i get this error

looks to me like a mod is interfering with your map, but i could be wrong

A very simple error...

You NEED a gsc file.

Open Notepad (or equivalent [not Word or Wordpad]), and copy and paste the following inside...

Code: Select all

main()
{
   maps\mp\_load::main();
}
And save that as "<mapname>.gsc" (replace <mapname> with you full mapname...

ye i had that gsc file still no look.

i tink it could be a mod interfearing had trouble with mods before..i will run the mod remover and try again

still no luck :( any other ideas guys..id reli like to get it to maping, i feel like i have a good jump map in me:P

hmm i had gametypes error's before. Check youre shortcut for any wierd targets ( i had sv_pure 0 and developer 1 and it did wierd). And i got the same kind of error. Hope that helps

I am 99% positive this is the problem you recieve when you try and load a map (using the compile tools) without having a config.

Try this...

Open CoD2
In console type...
/sv_pure 0
/developer 1
/devmap <mp_mapname>
