Alpha Blending [Video]

Post by Drofder2004 » August 9th, 2006, 2:35 am

Title: Drofder's Alpha Blending Tutorial
Length: 1:42
Filesize: 41.5mb (Zipped)
Filetype: Avi
Dimensions: 800x600
Codec: TSCC (Techsmith ScreenCapture Codec)
Link: Download Here

If you cannot get it to work, install the above codec. If still, give me your problems...
Also, this crashed my Windows Media Player, but worked fine on all my others (Media Player Classic & VideoLan)

The text is not very well done after rendering, but it was fine in the editor. So for this video, put up with it, the next one I will sync it better. also the fact that I didn't save the project file means I cannot re-edit it without hassle (:()

Suggestions/Problems?

Link is ready... :)
Remember, this may not work in Windows Media Player.

So here are some other players I recommend.
- VLC - http://www.videolan.org/
- MPC - http://www.free-codecs.com/Media_Player ... wnload.htm

I also recommend the KazaaLite Codec Pack (comes with MPC)

I personally don't feel I have the voice for tutorials, not embarassed, just simply wouldn't sound good :P
Plus, Audio = Added filesize.

---

May I ask which video player you used and if you have any issues with Windows Media Player (and waht version of WMP do you use).

Good :)

I think it may be because I got my version of it "leaked" and not from "legitamate" sources ;)

Yep, I think it was in the S&D tutorials when he is adding the tank as an objective...

I know its a double post, but if I were to edit, then the forum would not update the "new posts" and you would never know I posted ;)

Please provide a perma link and replace link in initial post (and then delete this post and the others that are unrelated). Ty.

Wasn't working, but I just found out you need to use blend textures to do it (no, that's not obvious Sam). I can't find a blend metal or snow texture and I want to blend metal and snow! :(

hmm little idea, follow the modsonline tutorial for making alpha textures by stryder, just pick the one you want and convert it. Think that will work :)
