I have a question...
Is 125/125 fps better than 90/250-250/250 fps? cause when I set my fps 125, I jump better than when I do 250 or higher..

there are certain levels which allow you to jump slightly further/higher in the fps range. Some of em are i believe 43, 125, 333, 666

Default fps in CoD is 85. If you want to set it back to normal (cant understand why you want tbh :P) you can just put in the command /com_maxfps 85

Question:

If you use 333 fps....does that mean you are cheating on a jump map...which means you aren't really any better than anyone else, just that you got a better graphics card? :?

no. You just have an advantage on some forms of jumps, and can you be called a cheat because you get an advantage because of your superior card.... well, depend whos opinion, but mine is no.

It doesnt matter to me if someone can jump a certain distance with 125 or 333.

Mmm dont know if u can call that cheating.. And when u can make the 333 FPS and ure a good jumper u 'll lock it to 125FPS(/com_maxfps 125) anyway..

For the COD2 players take a look @ http://www.tweakguides.com/COD2_1.html

My point exactly....when you have the advantage of getting 333 fps...that makes you jump further/higher over other players, whos to say that you will use 125 fps when in reality you are using 333 fps just to make yourself look like a good jumper :?:

I'm not bothered over it myself...but I was just curious as to what everyone else (who cant get 333 fps) thought about it.

Despite some theories that 333fps over 125fps mean u jump higher so u should jump further, it doesn't work like that...i don't think anyone knows how it really works yet, but it seems that when u strafe jump in a straight line using 333fps u don't float as far as 125, even tho u start off higher, it slows down and u drop quicker than with 125fps. The main advantage of using 333 is jumping up something thats higher, and you can jump diagonally much further than with 125.

Even though my Method of jumping went out with last years bins.

i still find that 125fps is easier to jump with than 333fps on most jumps... however on some jumps 333fps makes it easier for me using my tired old method
