Scripting Program
Ok, most people who have started scripting use notepad.
This program is very useful, better than notepad in general and I have just created all the "syntaxs" for cod scripting
This is the link to the Actual Editor...
http://www.crimsoneditor.com/
This is a link to the files you will need to use the syntaxs...
http://www.clanalias.com/gsc_files.zip
This is the link for the colour scheme...
http://www.clanalias.com/gsc_scheme.zip
Instructions...
After installing Crimson Editor navigate to...
C:/Program Files/Crimson Editor/Spec/ (or the directory you installed to)
Extract the Zip (gsc_files) into this folder.
Then navigate to...
C:/Program Files/Crimson Editor/schemes/
and extract the other Zip (gsc_scheme) into this folder.
Tweaking the Editor
Click "Document<Syntax Type<Customize"
Now Click on "File<Syntax Type" in the new window.
If you cannot see "CoD GSC" in the list on the right you will need to create it...
Click on the First Empty space.
Use these details
Description: CoD GSC
Lang Spec: GSC.spc (You will need to navigate to the folder you unzipped to and find this file manually)
Keywords: GSC.key (You will need to navigate to the folder you unzipped to and find this file manually)
Now Click "Files<Filters"
And if CoD GSC is not listed, again you will need to add it.
Click on an empty area and use these details...
Description: CoD GSC
Extensions: *.gsc
Default Ext: gsc
Now Click "File<Association"
Scroll down until you see ".gsc" and click it
Then click Associate.
Setting up the Colours.
Click "General<Colours"
Make sure the first tab (General colours) is selected.
Now Load the CoD GSC Scheme (You should've extracted earlier)
Setting Up the Visuals:
Click "General<Visual" and use these details (not neccessary, but helpful)
Line Spacing = 100
Caret Width = 25
Line Number Digit Count = 4
File tab max string size = 32
1st and 2nd column markers unchecked.
Checked Boxes =
Show Line number
Highlight Active Line
Embolden Keywords
Highlight Matching Pairs
Italicize Comment
And thats it... have fun
