cod4 custom menu

So i attempted to use a custom menu file, and it says "menu (menuname) cannot be found". The menu works properly because i tried different cod made menus too. I added the .menu to my zone and .csv. It's also saved in raw/ui_mp/scriptmenus. Any suggestions?
