Very nice mate !

I'm not sure what do you mean under "gap record", your personal record or just generally the current gap record?

I noticed that the difficulty of cod4 gap jumping has changed since 2007. That year, the very best gap jumpers could hardly do 316, but few years passed and now many people jump over 316, up to 319 as recorded by Moose. It's very strange. Also, I have written a gap script, whcih can do 323 on the official codjumper.com server, but only 319 on my home server. I think once something turned wrong on codjumper.com servers.

This vid is 1,5 years old. He did this in CJ#1 as he mentioned in the description.

Also, there is no proof of it, but K!LLSTORM(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSrsMh6yZDE) stated that he performed 321 aswell with 3 days of constant trying and thousands of demos. But i guess it doesn't count, cause he lost the demo.

I mean that your real jumping might actually be about 316 and your record only exists in the environment of codjumper.com servers. I make this statement, because, as I said before, my script jumps 319 and 323 on my own and codjumper.com servers accordingly.

but i done this on a cfgfactory server on promod as well so it doesn't really matter and your script thing is based on ping as that affects what happens as well

I would place this down to netcode or some form of server compensation.

But in CoD 1-2 ping had no effect on jumping. whether was my ping 10 or 500, I would jump equally.
I must do a research on it. In CoD 1 I have already done one, and found out several things affecting jumping:

1. Client console command snaps. The lower its value (default is 20), the farther you jump. snaps 1 would be perfect but it brought too much lagging, so I was happy with snaps 2 - I could jump 2-3 units longer than with default snaps. In CoD 2 and forward snaps appeared to have no effect on jumping though.

2. Server console command sv_fps. Just the same as snaps: default is 20, lower values will add few extra units, higher values will make it even worse than normal.

scripts can get further on codjumper_training especially because of the 20+ loops all running at once.

Scripts don't have anything to do with lag tbh, even if you'd have a ping of 500 you would still make the same distance as if you had a stable low ping.

As for the whole thing that you apparently jump further on the CoDJumper training server, I've also had my thoughts about that looking back at the days where people would spend ages on making the 316 gap and nowadays they jump that gap like it's nothing anymore. I also find it hard to believe that the whole jump community has gotten THAT much better.

So your saying the cj servers or the map is the problem?

Why not KS or PD open the map in Radiant and check the distances of the gaps. You guys might have made wrong gaps. First gap records weren't made on this map.

Update - seems like both maps have the same gap distances. My script does 319 on either map.

Could've just used "viewpos" to get distance...
